After Hours Street & Water Emergency Numbers: (815) 985-8311 or (815) 985-8635

For Immediate Release:
March 4, 2024

To Whom it may concern:

Fehr Graham, the Village appointed engineer, is currently coordinating with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the Village of Winnebago to receive planning approval for several water infrastructure improvement projects throughout various locations within the Village.

As part of the approval process, an archaeological survey was requested in order to determine if any potential artifacts/cultural resources may be located within the project locations. Midwest Archaeological Research Services (MARS) has been subcontracted through Fehr Graham to complete the archaeological survey. MARS will be conducting shovel-probe tests within the Village Right-of-Way throughout various streets in order to complete the requested archaeological survey. MARS should be in the Village on either Sunday, March 10 or Monday, March 11.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate and feel free to contact me in the office at (815) 394-4700 and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Luke Ziegler
Staff Engineer
