Due to the recent COVID-19 situation, access to the Village of Winnebago’s office is temporarily closed to the public. However, we still have staff available to answer phone calls, respond to emails and process payments during regular business hours.
ROOFING PERMIT PROCEDURE
FOR ANY/ALL CONTRACTORS
Download the permit application from our website by “hovering” over Community; select Forms/Permits. Please use the application titled “Building Addition/Remodel Permit Form (pools, decks, sheds, roofs, fence) for any/all roofing permits.
Please read the following information:
Required House Wrap: SECTION 502.4.3
Required Ice Barrier: SECTION R905.2.7.1
Complete the application and email it to the Village Administrative Assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org). PLEASE INCLUDE A COPY OF YOUR STATE ROOFING LICENSE (only one copy is required if applying for multiple permits)
The application will be forwarded to the Village Building Official for review/approval. This process takes approximately 24-48 hours.
Once the paperwork is returned to the Village office, the Administrative Assistant will send an email advising you of the permit #, fee amount, and payment instructions. Payments should be made using ePay located on this website.
Upon receipt of payment, a scanned copy of the permit will be emailed to you to post at the job site and the original will also be sent to you in the mail.
