New residents must contact the Village Office, 108 West Main Street, and fill out a Utility Service Application form in the presence of a Village staff member (Identity Theft Prevention Program) during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Please provide a copy of an ID and your closing statement.
The Village of Winnebago reached an agreement with the Rock River Water Reclamation District (the District) in December 2011 for them to completely take over our sewer system. The agreed upon take over date is February 6, 2012. The District will take over billing for sewer usage on March 1, 2012. The District bills on a quarterly basis so your first sewer bill they generate will be after the first of August for the months of March, April, and May. The Village passed Ordinance 12-03 Adopting RRWRD Code of Ordinances
Utility bills are due by the 15th of each month. For after hours convenience a drop box is located on the north side of the Village Office.
