Part-Time Police Officer

Winnebago, Illinois Police Department is accepting applications to hire a part-time police officer(s). The candidates must have a commitment to community oriented policing with emphasis on partnerships, relationship building, community engagement, problem-solving & prevention, and training. Shift hours will vary. If you previously completed an application as a lateral applicant, the application needs to be updated to be considered.

Part-Time Hourly Wage: Depending on Qualifications
Equipment/Uniforms: Provided

Sworn Officers: 10

  • Department-provided uniforms and equipment
  • Night shift differential for shifts scheduled after 6:00 p.m.
  • Time and one-half for scheduled holidays
  • Earned personal time
